New agency jumps onto creative scene
A new business has leapt into the North East creative sector with the merger of Moving Design (UK) Limited and the Contrast Company to create ‘JUMP’, a new multimedia and design agency in Newcastle. Lucy Hill set up Moving Design in August 2003 and has over 12 years’ experience as a graphic designer and specialist in corporate videos, and Robert Brown is an experienced website and software developers who set up his firm, the Contrast Company, in 1995 and has been located in the office above Lucy.
The two have collaborated on projects over the last 12 months, and have decided to merge the two companies together to form JUMP in order to bring their complementary services under one roof. JUMP will be offering a range of multimedia and design solutions from website design, e-commerce and database solutions to corporate literature branding and video design.
The agency already has an impressive client list with its current projects including work for Unicef, NCFE, Gateshead NHS and the National Glass Centre in Sunderland. The name JUMP came from Lucy and Robert’s hard working and bespoke approach to clients, so their strap-line and website address is ‘You say jump! Wesayhowhigh.com’.
Lucy Hill said: “Jump is a natural progression for our two businesses, and for our clients who have been used to working with both of us on integrated design and multi-media briefs for some time. “We are seeking to deliver a very down-to-earth web and design solution to SME’s in the North East, helping them understand the latest technical developments they can embrace through their online presence, and ensure they are compliant with the latest regulations whilst opening their eyes to making the most of their brand.”
