Motor group drives expansion
One of the region’s largest independent motor groups has launched its first multi franchised dedicated fleet operation. Following an investment of more than £1/4 million, Benfield Motor Group has launched Benfield Corporate, which it hopes will meet the needs of the region’s fleet buyers. It is expected that the new division will provide a lucrative revenue stream for the motor group, which plans to increase its corporate sales by £20 million over the next three years.
Mark Squires, chief executive of Benfield Motor Group said: “A significant proportion of the region’s businesses are SMEs, generally without their own dedicated internal fleet managers. With so many potential customers we are confident that our proposition of locally provided fleet management with access to more than 20 marques of vehicle will be well received.”
Fleet expert John Spreadbury said: “Benfield has a great reputation with motorists across the region for providing value for money and great pre and after sales service. We will be looking to replicate this reputation within the corporate market. We understand the importance of keeping fleet vehicles on the road which is why our focus will be as much on after sales and management as it will be on initial sales.”
