Businesses urged to Go For Jobs with travel passes
Businesses of all sizes across Tyne & Wear have the opportunity tomorrow to hear at first hand how they can access discounts on a corporate travel pass offering their staff access to practically every mode of public transport in the area. The North East Chamber of Commerce has teamed up with Nexus to provide its members with 15% discount on a travel card which firms can use as a staff recruitment and retention incentive.
The initiative is the latest phase of the Go For Jobs campaign which aims to fight ongoing blocks on development across Tyne & Wear by the Highways Agency. If employers and their staff get on board with the Go For Jobs travel card, it is hoped that this will have an enormous impact on traffic flow.
NECC is holding a launch event tomorrow (11 May) from 7.45am to 8.45am at UK Land Estates’ offices on Team Valley. Anyone wanting to attend must register beforehand, and can do so by contacting Rebekah.gaze@necc.co.uk or calling Rebekah on 0191 386 1133.
