New guide to attract workers to the Tyne

Workers relocating to NewcastleGateshead from around the UK and the world could now make the move even easier thanks to a new publication produced by destination marketing agency NewcastleGateshead Initiative, (NGI). NGI’s new brochure “LIVE NewcastleGateshead” has been created to help employers attract new recruits to North East England from out of the area by highlighting the many things that make the area such a popular destination to live, work and learn.

Andrew Dixon, Chief Executive of NewcastleGateshead Initiative said: “This is a very important new publication which we have produced in response to discussions with businesses and other agencies about the challenges of recruiting from out of the area. “It is aimed to help both new recruits who have already decided to relocate as well as encourage potential new employees, their partners and families to make the move here.”

LIVE has already received a positive reaction from those who were involved in early trials of the publication and Newcastle University’s International office and Newcastle College have both shown interest in using it as a part of their recruitment campaigns.

Jonathan Blair, Partner Dickinson Dees, a member of NGI, said: “NewcastleGateshead is a great place to live and work but in the recruitment market we are often competing with companies from around the country. The LIVE NewcastleGateshead brochure is a fantastic tool to help attract new staff and promote the region.”

Plans are underway to widen the distribution further afield to include many businesses and organisations throughout NewcastleGateshead and an online version of the brochure is also being produced to help gain even greater distribution. For details visit www.NewcastleGateshead.com/liveNG.
