Zebra growing in the heart of Newcastle
A Newcastle based data centre is celebrating after financial figures show the company is growing by an average of 20% year on year. ZebraHosts, based on Westgate Road in the centre of what has been dubbed ‘Silicon Alley’, provides server hosting to North East companies. It reports yet another period of significant growth due to increasing demand for its services. Growth is in response to the expanding IT needs of the region’s businesses, which according to ZebraHosts are outgrowing their current web facilities.
Belinda Kent, ZebraHosts Strategic Account Manager, said: “North East companies are becoming far more sophisticated in their web needs. “As reliance on server based systems increases many are no longer prepared to battle with slow connectivity, poor levels of uptime, unreliable data storage and weak networking. And of course, as their usage increases they become even more aware of the catastrophic repercussions of losing core data.”
As a result ZebraHosts has noticed a steady growth in enquiries for its external hosting facilities which guarantee 99.99% connectivity even in the event of a major local or regional power cut. As well as this, several clients use the fact they externally host their data with ZebraHosts as a major selling point when marketing their own business.
The team will be demonstrating its data centre services and providing advice and guidance to visitors at the forthcoming IT Works event which takes place on 5–6 July at Sunderland University.
