A television advertisement promoting the local enterprise campaign South Tyneside Means Business is set to air this evening. Soap fans can catch the 60 second advertisement at during the break in Emmerdale on ITV1.
The commercial, created by communications company Gardiner Richardson, features people from all walks of life searching for business ideas in a variety of unusual locations, including the Shields Ferry and on South Shields Beach. The campaign also features on radio, in local press, online and on buses and metros around the borough.
The advertisements promote the £16.2million South Tyneside Means Business initiative, designed to help local people start and grow businesses in the borough. The funding was secured by a partnership of public and private sector organisations last year through the government’s Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI).
