Gateshead base for 'super' broker

A new mortgage ‘super’ broker has launched its central office in Gateshead, thanks to the help of a successful business entrepreneur. Citri, based in The Watermark, Gateshead, celebrated its opening by inviting founder of the Yo! Company and Dragon’s Den panellist, Simon Woodroffe along to the launch event as guest speaker.

Keith Atkinson, Citri Chief Executive, said: “After working for big names in financial services, I decided it was time to bring a fresh approach to the industry with a new business model, which is good news for the consumer and even better news for the advisor. I chose to base my business in the North East as I believe the honesty and integrity of people who live and work in the region is key to our success.”

The company supports mortgage professionals by providing a technology based infrastructure and a paper free sales process. Mortgage professionals who sign up with Citri receive an out of the box business solution, including a laptop, sales process training, website and email hosting facility, electronic submission of business and daily payment of commissions and fees.

Keith said: “I chose Simon Woodroffe as guest speaker for Citri’s launch event as I could see a lot of similarities between us from a business perspective. “We are delighted to officially launch Citri and look forward to providing an excellent service for those in need of simple and uncomplicated advice.”
