Gem of a business for Elaine

A local businesswoman is swapping this summer’s less-than-brilliant North East temperatures and a job in retail for the sunnier climes of the south of France and fine country living. Elaine Elliot of Tynemouth is relocating to the vineyard region of Carcassonne to run a web based jewellery business, Jewellery To Love. Elaine plans to source unique items of European jewellery and make them available to UK customers.

Elaine said: “The website will give women access to the best in contemporary European jewellery and will benefit men who would prefer not to venture into the high street to buy presents for their wives or girlfriends, but it is also just a great alternative for women wanting nice costume jewellery. “They are all affordable and contemporary and are easy to wear both in every day life and for that special occasion.”

The site displays collections exclusive to the company such as the hand made Ola Brazil of Rio De Janeiro which is made exclusive to the company in Europe, together with Bibi Alhaja from the Netherlands, Franck Herval from Provence and Adele Marie-London.

Most recently Elaine has been involved with a high profile designer store in Jesmond, Newcastle, leaving there to start her own business. The company also has plans to merge with internet-based bagstolove.com next year, broadening their lines into other fashion accessories.
