The search is on for the best in new businesses
The search has begun for the best entrepreneurial spirit in the Tees Valley with the launch of the Best New Business Awards 2007. The awards are open to Tees Valley businesses that have been trading for a maximum of three years and recognise success across every sector.
Categories include community, creative industry, environment, manufacturing, marketing, retail, service and young entrepreneur as well as the overall Best New Business accolade for a business that has displayed outstanding potential in its field.
The awards, sponsored by Business Link, are the only ones of their kind to solely recognise successful business start-ups in the Tees Valley and with prizes ranging from £500 to £1000 winners can be sure of a substantial boost to their business in its early days.
Jonathan Lamb from Business Link said: “The awards are quick and easy to enter and their kudos can help winning companies really stand out from the crowd as an award-winning business. We’re delighted to be supporting Tees Valley’s entrepreneurs again in 2007 as we recognise that the entrepreneurs of today will become the major success stories of tomorrow.”
Colin Brown, independent financial adviser and creator of the awards, said: “We acknowledge the importance of celebrating the success of our best businesses as their contribution is crucial to the prospects of the area and these awards are a great way to highlight the talent we have in the Tees Valley. As small businesses play such an important role in the Tees Valley economy it is vital we promote their achievements and inspire others to aim high.”
To enter the awards contact Colin Brown on 01642 862 177 for an entry form. All businesses entering the awards should have commenced trading after 1 July 2004 and the deadline for entries is 12 October 2007.
