Campaigns agency scales new peak

Newcastle-based creative agency, The bgroup, has succeeded in securing the contract to deliver the marketing campaign for Pennine Lancashire’s LEGI initiative - No Limits. Pennine Lancashire has been awarded £60 million from the Local Enterprise Growth Initiative (LEGI) which will see more than 13,000 jobs and 3,937 businesses created within the next decade in the areas of Pendle, Burnley, Blackburn with Darwen and Hyndburn.

The initiative, branded No Limits by The bgroup, sees the launch of 16 projects bringing direct support to new and existing businesses in the area.

Steve Hoyle, No Limits director for Pennine Lancashire, said: “When you look at the range of help we have available, there has never been a better time to start a new business in Pennine Lancashire. Our aim is to change the enterprise culture of Pennine Lancashire and ultimately to make it one of the most enterprising and innovative areas in the country.”

The bgroup is playing a key part in the initiative with a fully integrated marketing campaign including branding, advertising, communications, and an interactive website, www.no-limits.org.uk. Campaign activities also include working closely with the region’s football clubs, Blackburn Rovers, Burnley FC and Accrington Stanley, to help promote the message to their local fan-base.

Creative Director, Diane Gates, said: “This campaign has provided a great opportunity for us to bring together our range of creative skills and our expert understanding of the enterprise agenda, to create a really effective integrated campaign. We’re looking forward to seeing the results, especially considering the initial appeal that the campaign has had with local residents and key stakeholders in the area.”
