Asian business event to be biggest ever
The Asian Business Forum North East (ABF) is set to hold its largest ever event after most of the 500 tickets for its annual dinner were bought up in less than two weeks.
In addition to the champagne reception, exhibition and main dinner event, Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Vice Chair of the Conservative Party, has been named as the keynote speaker for the evening.
Hina Joshi, Vice Chairman at the ABF, said: “We are thrilled by the response of not only the region’s Asian businesses, but also the wider North East business community, which has been reflected in the uptake of tickets for this year’s event.
“Asian businesses make a huge contribution to the region’s economy and our annual dinner is an acknowledgement of the community’s achievements in the business arena. It also provides an ideal opportunity to network with like-minded people and appropriate service providers, helping inform, nurture and grow the North-East’s Asian business sector.”
Now in its fourth year, the ABF aims to be the voice of the Asian business community working with business support networks and One NorthEast. Its main function is to support and facilitate the growth of Asian business within the area.
This year’s dinner will be a black-tie event held at the Gateshead Hilton on Sunday 25 November. The event’s main sponsor this year is Allied Irish Bank (GB) in Newcastle. The dinner is also being backed by a number of corporate sponsors, including Ernst & Young, Sintons, Bentley, Karol Marketing Group, Mencap, Flats.co.uk, Overseas Property Group and Payal Event Management.
