StepChange helps business cement the foundations for business success

Chartered Architect Clare Stagg and Chartered Surveyor David Callan are an unusual and formidable combination. Their practice PlanIT Design, based in Sunderland is a far cry from the traditional, starchy environment usually associated with Chartered Architects but is a winning combination and has steadily grown over the last 18 months. PlanIT has received advice and funding from TyneWear Partnership funded project StepChange which has helped cement the foundations for business success.

Clare Stagg, Director, PlanIT said:“We are a young and growing team, recruiting as we speak. As a relatively new business we are very focused on growing the business and doing the job which is where StepChange really came in. Their advice was very positive, very prompt and very commercially minded. They were clear on what we were eligible for from the start and made us realise the importance of IT which feels like a luxury but is actually an essential for business.”

PlanIT benefited from access to public sector tender lists; signposting to relevant websites; a password protected extranet area for client drawings and updates available at www.planitdesigned.co.uk ; improved security which has made it easier to back up off site and an increased memory capacity which will last a number of years and support up to 12 staff.
