Young Tyneside entrepreneur going for growth
A young Tyneside entrepreneur is going for business growth with investment in a new e-commerce website and plans to treble sales in his third trading year.
Established in October 2005 by Chris Quickfall, Invate Ltd works with the region’s universities, schools and colleges to provide assistive technology and help young people with disabilities achieve academic goals.
Employing two doctors on a consultancy basis and seven staff Chris, 26 from Whickham, has brought together a highly skilled team.
With assistance from Business Link, Chris is now hoping to treble sales in his third year by introducing a new e-commerce website as another distribution channel for his services.
Chris said: “Through computer hardware, software and other technology everyone can be considered equally in every aspect of education. I’m dyslexic and whilst at university I spotted a huge gap in the North East for a supplier of educational computer equipment for those with disabilities.
“From business guidance, support for staff training to website development, Business Link has worked with me as my business has grown.”
Steve Langdown from Business Link said: “Invate is proving to be both innovative and flexible in its approach by providing a much needed service to the disabled student community in the North East. With Chris’ drive and determination I am confident that the company will successfully grow and achieve its ambitious targets.”
