Opening the door to business support
The region’s business support service is now easier than ever to access thanks to the opening of a number of new Business Link centres across the North East.
Now with over 30 centres spread across the region, Business Link account managers are on hand to meet and greet the region’s entrepreneurs, talk through business ideas and provide advice and guidance from a number of convenient locations across the North East.
The new access points across Tyne and Wear, Northumberland, County Durham and Tees Valley build on the existing support available from Business Link, and enable Business Link’s advisers to remain focused on local business needs and local service delivery by working within the local business communities. Plus with a number of Business Link’s expert advisers now operating on a mobile basis, the region’s entrepreneurs can access a consistent and more targeted business support service, whether they’re looking to launch a new venture or grow an existing business.
Nicki Clark from Business Link North East said: “Our aim is to be an organisation that is totally engaged with the business community at all levels - listening to them, asking questions and responding to them.
“We are well aware of the often very local needs of the businesses we work with and by opening the new access points throughout the region, we will be able to fully engage with the region’s entrepreneurs and provide a convenient and targeted support service.
“All of our advisers are now mobile-workers, spending virtually all of their time out in the field. With a thorough understanding of the challenges faced by businesses trading in local districts, our advisers will work with them to help add value to their business and really boost the North East economy.”
For those entrepreneurs and businesses looking for instant access to key information, the Business Link website enables the region’s entrepreneurs access to business support at the touch of a button 24 hours a day, seven days a week, even when they are not in the region.
