Global expansion pays off with website win
A Newcastle company which recently set up shop in New Zealand is seeing benefits from its global reach. Web company SBsquared has signed a deal to develop a series of interactive websites and re-brand wireless technology company MyZones. The contract came as a result of SBsquared’s David Jeffries who recently emigrated to New Zealand to establish the company’s new office.
The deal with MyZones will see SBsquared develop six language-specific versions of the company’s new main site, which offers a secure partner login for affiliates, together with reseller and case study information plus a comprehensive support function designed to help new users get started. SBsquared’s developers are also creating an i-Chat zone, similar to MSN, where worldwide MyZone users will be able to chat direct with online support staff at any time of the day or night.
In addition to the new websites the team has also designed a range of marketing collateral including flyers, stationery, vouchers, posters and a series of ‘How To’ guides aimed at getting first-time users connected at any of the MyZones locations.
Ken Wolstencroft, technical director at MyZones said: “Using web technology to keep partners and users connected helps us to maintain our market position. “It made sense to take the opportunity to re-develop the entire brand in line with our new website and to use one team of experts to handle the whole project.”
Kathryn Watson, SBsquared managing director, said: “This is just one of a series of project wins that reinforces our decision to expand our reach by establishing offices in New Zealand and developing partnerships that allow us to use our cross media expertise to help clients in any part of the world.”
