Police slip up
An entire police squad had to be rescued from a freezing lake in Hungary after an officer tried to chase a robber across ice. Policewoman Ani Kosut fell through ice in Szigliget in the west of the country.
Passers-by called other police but as they tried to fish her out, they fell in as well and more officers had to be called. Thirty policemen ended up in the freezing waters before a team of fire fighters finally dragged them all to safety.
The robber was not caught.
