Shopkeeper ignores armed robber
Police in Austria are looking for an armed robber who ran off after a shopkeeper ignored the gun he waved at her. Ingrid Kassel, 27, thought the ‘gun’ was a fake - and told the man to get to the back of the queue. The robber had burst into the shop in Vienna, pushed to the front of the queue, pulled out the hand gun and demanded money.
She said: “I thought he was joking or something so I told him to get to the back of the queue. The other customers thought I was really cool but it was only afterwards I realised it was really dangerous.”
Not quite as great as the postmistress who told would-be robbers ’not to be so silly’, but still worthy of praise.
