In the news: Search engine superpower Yahoo has turned down Microsoft’s initial £45bn bid, but left the door open for an increased offer from Bill Gates and co. Yahoo have refused to consider offers below £40 per share, figures that would make the business worth an almost £56 bn! Is the buy-out inevitable then?

Nokia has created its own mobile advertising network reports Marketing Vox. There are over 70 publishers including Reuters already signed up, and rumours suggest there is a Facebook partnership currently in limbo.

The UK is still leading the way in online purchasing, even when it comes to matters of the heart according to a survey commissioned by Paypal. An estimated 20% of the British public bought a Valentines gift online, compared with only 9% of Americans.

These videos are aimed at helping to communicate the tangible effects of ebusiness in terms of increase efficiency and business growth.

Story of the week: A study by Marketing Charts has revealed differences in the consumption of online videos between men and women. The study found that TV streams from broadcast network websites were nearly twice as likely to be viewed by women aged between 18 to 34 than men. The figures for the top four CGM sites found that the reverse was true.
