New service for North East businesses
A North East training provider has launched a new service to enable the region’s businesses to profit from better trained and skilled staff. Springboard Sunderland is introducing its new initiative Business Training Services. The service will help companies to bridge any skills gaps by providing them with training programmes to meet their specific requirements.
Kevin Bainbridge, business services coordinator at Springboard Sunderland, said: “We are launching this new service because, as a well established training organisation, we can provide training support to help businesses to develop and grow. “We can assess each individual company’s needs and put together a bespoke training package, which can also include motivation and team building programmes. We can also work with businesses to devise and implement apprenticeship schemes.
As well as general business-related courses, Springboard Sunderland will be providing specialist courses for the licensed trade such as the National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders and Responsible Alcohol Retailing.
Kevin said: “It is critical that employers have staff with good literacy, numeracy and problem solving skills. “The benefits of providing employee training include improved staff confidence and motivation, higher retention rates and increased productivity, which will lead to increased profitability.”
