BIC goes back to entrepreneurial roots

Entrepreneurs have the chance to win free accommodation at A North East business location in a new competition launched by the North East Business and Innovation Centre (BIC). Winners will benefit from a bespoke office accommodation package - worth up to £2000 - as well as business services including IT and marketing support.

Donna Surtees, Facilities Coordinator at the North East BIC, said: “The BIC was set up to help nurture new innovative companies and over the past fourteen years we have helped to establish hundreds of successful businesses, many of which have gone to become major employers in the region.

“As a result our client base has changed dramatically over the years and we have adapted our services to suit a changing market place. However we have always remained committed to helping entrepreneurs to create new businesses, as start up companies are in many ways the lifeblood of the region. I suppose this competition is a method of expressing this, and going back to our roots in a way.”

Judges in the competition will be looking for applications from regional entrepreneurs who can demonstrate outstanding business growth potential when selecting the winners.

Donna said: “The overall winner will receive an accommodation and business support package crafted to suit their individual needs, as well as a brand new laptop. A mixture of services is also being made available as prizes for runners up.”

To put your business in the picture and enter the competition, call 0191 516 6200 or visit www.ne-bic.co.uk to request an entry form.
