NOF energy to open doors to Norway

After the news of last month’s North East/South American exchange, regional businesses are being offered the chance to build relationships with a slightly closer destination.

NOF Energy will be helping North East companies to discover how to make connections with Norwegian industry at an event this week. The Washington-based business development organisation will host a workshop for the oil, gas and energy-related sectors at the ‘Rediscover North East England’ event at the Hilton Hotel, Gateshead Quayside tomorrow.

Led by Chief Executive, George Rafferty, the workshop will investigate the importance of links between the North East of England and Norway. ‘Rediscover North East England’, which is being organised by One NorthEast and publisher Oilinfo in partnership with NOF Energy, is designed to showcase the quality of the North East’s oil and gas industry.

The conference is being attended by Norwegian companies who will be looking for North East organisations to support their oil and gas operations and create potentially lucrative business relationships.

George Rafferty, Chief Executive at NOF Energy, said: “Our workshop will provide businesses with a greater understanding of the relationship between the UK and Norway. The oil and gas supply chain in the UK is perfectly placed to deliver quality products and services to the sector in Norway. We are here to encourage partnerships between key regions in both the UK and Norway.

“NOF Energy has achieved long-standing success working on behalf of its members targeting the Norwegian market and, through our workshop, we will focus on these successes and the opportunities open to North East industry.”
