For the evening event only, film director Nick Francis will be giving guests a special insight into his documentary Black Gold, which is showing later that evening as part of the EAT! Festival.
Patricia Alexander, Shared Interest Managing Director, said: “Part of this event is to say thank you to people who already invest time and money into Shared Interest but it is also a chance for others wanting learn more about fair trade. “With the first ever National Ethical Investment Week approaching, we also want to highlight the benefits of investing in fair trade businesses and the huge impact this can have on countries in the developing world.”
The world’s only 100% fair trade lender, the Shared Interest Society has regional offices in Costa Rica and Kenya and helps over 40 countries across the globe to sell their handcrafted goods and produce fairly
The Shared Interest events are taking place at 12.30pm and 6.00pm in the Kielder Suite. Those wanting to attend should contact caroline.himmler@shared-interest.com.
