Final Call for DigitalCity Fellowship Applicants
The Institute of Digital Innovation (IDI) at the University of Teesside is advising people interested in their new fellowships scheme to register their interest by Friday 9 May. The IDI has confirmed that it will be awarding DigitalCity Fellowships to digital media and technology practitioners for the next three years.
The University of Teesside-based team is now calling for applications from creative, digital media and technology graduates.
The IDI are offering three types of fellowships- Junior, Innovation and Creative. Each fellowship includes a grant of between £500 and £4000 and specialist industry mentoring to the fellow, who works on a self instigated project of up to six months. Fellows also benefit from the IDI facilities, business and legal mentors and industry contacts that can help commercialise products or ideas and take them to market.
The IDI works with teams or individuals in a variety of sectors. These include filmmakers, video games companies, photographers and those working on medical research and new technology projects.
Scott Watson, enterprise co-ordinator for the IDI, said: “The DigitalCity Fellowships are always popular because they really do help people get their ideas off the ground and turn them into viable businesses. The IDI’s vibrant, interactive community offers individuals and small groups the opportunity to carry out advanced work across a number of disciplines in a supportive environment.”
