In the news: German car manufacturer BMW are to introduce full on board internet access to a range of its cars according to WebUser. Already being tagged as the iDrive, BMW believe that they will be the world’s first provider of unrestricted, in-car internet access.

Reports are circulating that Forbes.com are to launch a social networking site aimed specifically at international business. AnswerNetwork will focus on the exchange of expertise and ideas via members whose profiles will list their specialist areas of business.

A study from the US by the Direct Marketing Association has highlighted the advantages of Web 2.0 for integrating direct and brand marketing. The report pays tribute to blogs, social networks and virtual worlds as platforms that converge all marketing.

Google have officially launched their TV advertising platform, Google TV Ads, after almost a year in beta format. The service is now available to all US-based Adwords account holders, who can create their own TV spots via the Ad Creation Marketplace.

Plug of the week: A new game aimed at promoting the advantages of ebusiness has been launched by online information sharing community Webetopia. Carlot Kingpin tests players selling skills, encouraging them to challenge their friends and learn more about the integration of ebusiness by joining the community.

Story of the week: A Chinese man who made a threat to grab the Olympic touch on its route through China via an online chatroom has been arrested. Channel 4 reported that the man, known only as Tang, was detained for spreading rumours online and disturbing public order!
