North East expertise secures Scottish conference centre
A conference centre, which has been visited by the likes of Princess Anne, Nelson Mandela and Al Gore, has chosen North East surveillance specialists to strengthen its security.
North Shields-based 2020 Vision has won a contract worth just short of £100,000 to upgrade Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC)’s CCTV network.
2020 Vision will replace the existing control room and recording system as well as providing a full migration pack to allow the EICC to integrate fully digital technology in the future. The contract also includes relocating the control room to a different area of the extensive EICC site.
Peter Houlis, managing director of 2020 Vision, said: “After a rigorous tender process the EICC felt that our plans best suited their needs and would deliver on time and in budget. “The EICC is planning to expand and our system will provide them with the opportunity to do so as and when without the need for re-wiring.”
