Quayside firm in FT's Top 50
An engineering consultancy with offices on Newcastle’s Quayside has been listed as one of the UK’s top 50 places to work. Faber Maunsell | AECOM has been named one of the 50 Best Places to Work in the UK by the Financial Times.
The Newcastle office, which employs almost 150 staff and acts as a Government adviser on energy performance and sustainable design, is working on some of the region’s multi million pound education schemes as well as the development of Hartlepool Marina and further development of The Edge, formerly Scotia Quays at Sunderland Marina.
It is the seventh time in eight years the firm has been listed under the ‘Best Company To Work For’ initiative.
Chief Executive Ken Dalton said: “We have worked hard to develop a forward-thinking management philosophy that encourages individuals to realise their own potential and take a personal stake in the company’s future.
“Our success in these awards, and our own staff surveys over the last nine years, have shown that our people are proud of working for Faber Maunsell | AECOM, but we are always seeking to improve further and we are committed to ongoing improvement.”
