Sinful bgroup aiming for million pound mark

North East creative agency bgroup is aiming to break through the million pound turnover barrier for the first time in 2008 - and then to leave it far behind.

The Newcastle-based company, creators of bdaily, recorded year-on-year turnover growth of more than fifty per cent in 2007, to over £920,000, despite difficult conditions in the marketing communications sector.

With a range of new clients coming on board, as well as significant service developments in the offing, b is forecast to show an even faster increase in turnover over the current financial year.

And having now celebrated seven years in business, the company is refreshing its brand along a theme of the Seven Deadly Sins.

It has developed its operations both within and outside its home region, with clients ranging from The Northern Way, Codeworks, and all five of the North East’s universities to the Shell Technology Enterprise Programme (STEP), Yell.com, and Childline.

Si Bales bgroup’s Managing Director, said: “Over the last few years, bgroup has very much been perceived as a ‘young’ company, but whilst we firmly retain the energy and freshness that defines the spirit and ethos of the organisation, our client base, staff numbers and business performance show that we’ve become significant players in the regional marketing industry.

“Our Seven Sins campaign reflects the quality of clients, staff and service we offer as well as the increased levels of creativity and experience across the agency, and it also retains the heart of bgroup’s quirky, fun and entrepreneurial spirit and character in the wider facets of the brand.

“We have some extremely exciting plans in place, with new ideas and technologies on the agenda that will have a significant impact on both the regional business community and further afield, and which will keep our vision of improving the way people communicate with each other moving forwards.”
