Equality North East in a new partnership

A North East equality service is involved in a new partnership with the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

The Commission has enabled Equality North East to extend their delivery of NCFE (Level 2 and Level 3) accredited equality and diversity training.

Lynne Henderson, Training Manager for Equality North East’s Training & Consultancy Services division said: “We have been offering accredited equality and diversity training courses for over two years now and they have always been successful but it’s great to be able to offer these training opportunities for free under this fantastic partnership.

All places on the NCFE accredited Level 2 Certificate in Equality and Diversity and Level 3 Certificate in Managing Diversity were reportedly booked within a week of the announcement being made to members of Equality North East’s ‘NEtWorking for Change’ project.

Liz Reay, Chief Executive of Equality North East said: “We are ‘blazing the equality trail’ and other regions are looking to Equality North East for help and advice to replicate such projects as ‘The North East Equality Awards’, the award-winning ‘If I Can…You Can’ school and college programme, ‘NEtWorking for Change’ and of course our comprehensive training and consultancy services offered to the public, private and voluntary sector.”
