Plans unveiled for Enterprise Week
Plans have been unveiled for this year’s Enterprise Week. Make Your Mark - the national campaign to unlock the enterprise potential of young people - have launched the annual event, locally in conjunction with Regional Development Agency (RDA) One NorthEast.
This year, Enterprise Week is coinciding with Global Entrepreneurship Week, and the aim is to encourage not only young people realising their ideas, but making connections with other likeminded youngsters from across the world. Over 60 nations are participating in Global Entrepreneurship Week.
Over 100 educators and agencies will be teaming up to promote Enterprise Week, which takes place on 17 - 23 November. At the launch event, ideas were shared for Social Enterprise Day and for incorporating digital technology into this year’s event. Tori James, the first Welsh woman to climb Mount Everest, was there to inspire the crowds.
The North East’s input to the introduction was Launch Pad, the purpose-built vehicle that tours the region publicising the help available to enterprising young people.
