bgroup on track with London contract success

North East creative agency bgroup is continuing to grow its London client base after winning a major contract from the body involved with creating a skills legacy out of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

bgroup has developed a new brand identity for the organisation - OnTrack London - and is also building an interactive website which will be used by employers and job brokers to identify the London colleges and universities that can help them with their training needs.

Job brokers and agencies with clients who may require upskilling in order to successfully gain employment in a job linked to the 2012 Games, will be able to enter what they are looking for into the website and be supplied in return with a list of potential training providers.

The system, which goes live at the end of August, will also track trends in training provision, and will highlight any areas in which there are gaps that need to be filled.

bgroup creative director Di Gates said: “The staging of the 2012 Games will obviously be a massive undertaking, and will draw upon a huge and diverse range of work-related skills which will evolve over the next few years.

“At the moment, there’s a very high demand for construction-related skills, but areas such as tourism, hospitality and media will become more important as the Games get closer, and it will be essential that employers are able to fill any gaps in their training provision.”

bgroup beat off competition from a number of national agencies to add OnTrack London to its growing roster of London-based clients, which already includes Yell, the South East England Development Agency and Make Your Mark.

Ms Gates added: “It’s very exciting for us to be involved with the biggest event that Britain has ever seen, and shows that companies in the North East can benefit from the 2012 Games taking place in London.”
