Celebrations on Faroe Islands leads to baby boom
At the end of April on the Faroe Islands there is always a rise in the amount of child births.
The statistics office on the Danish islands has now come up with an explanation: nine months before the baby boom is a big celebration - resulting in the Islanders apparently ending up in bed together.
It’s usual that there are more conceptions during the summer at the Faroe Islands. However, the baby boom peeks exactly 40 weeks after the traditional festivities on 28 and 29 July.
