Support for Northumberland businesswomen
Female entrepreneurs in Northumberland are being encouraged to support their area by entering the North East Women Entrepreneur of the Year awards. Enterprising Northumberland is offering a free “mentoring” service for those who would like help and feedback on their applications.
Although Northumberland makes up only around 12% of the total North East population, At the North East Women Entrepreneur of the Year Awards 2007, Northumberland women were shortlisted in 8 of the 9 categories and achieved 5 category winners and 3 runners-up.
As an added incentive, any woman living in Northumberland who is shortlisted for the Awards will be offered a free place at the Enterprising Northumberland table. The event is held this year at the Hilton Hotel on Friday 21 November.
