North finalists vie for 2008 National Business Awards
Several companies from the North East have made it through to the finals of the National Business Awards. Among others, workers from Leeds based print and digital media firm Blanc Canvas will be holding their collective breath at the prize giving ceremony, set to take place on November 18th at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
An impressive roster of companies from the North East won regional awards this year, including Doncaster’s Clyde Process Solutions and Elland based direct mail and print solutions company Lick UK.
The National Business Awards, sponsored by Orange, are designed to showcase the diversity of British business, and in the past they’ve boosted the credibility and prestige of private and public companies alike, from major nationals to growing organisations to start-ups. It’s not for nothing the Prime Minister calls them “the business Oscars”.
There are seventeen Awards categories, among them the Best Use of Technology in Business Award and the Small to Medium sized Business of the Year Award. Web Design company Sense Internet of Leeds won the latter Award at regional level this year.
