Web developer/ Programmer

Orange Bus, a fast growing digital media company is currently seeking a talented, dedicated and detail orientated web developer/programmer. The ideal candidate will have strong programming skills, an analytical mind and be readily willing to acquire new languages/ programming techniques.

Required: Candidate must be proficient in the development of PHP web sites, and have experience of developing for the LAMP stack with a good knowledge of (X)HTML, CSS and Javascript and a familiarity with the Linux command line.

Desirable: Experience of working with version control systems, in particular SVN, Â development of websites using Drupal, knowledge of dynamic languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby. Flash/ Flex application development using ActionScript 3 and animation using the timeline. Bonus points will also be awarded for any previous involvement in an open source project.

This is a full time position working out of our Newcastle windmill, possibly the coolest and most pleasant working environment in the North!

Salary dependent on the candidate.
