Hotel and Chamber in delegate deal
A soon-to-be-opened North East hotel is hoping to help out local businesses with an opening month initiative.
The Radisson SAS Hotel, Durham, which opens on Saturday 1 November, has made a deal with the North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC) to support local businesses in difficult economic times, launching an initiative to offer meeting rooms for £1 per delegate.
James Ramsbotham, chief executive at NECC, said: “Now more than ever, it’s important that businesses in the North East support each other when possible. The North East Chamber of Commerce is delighted to be able to team up with the Radisson SAS Hotel on this initiative, which demonstrates a real commitment to being a proactive member of the region’s leading business organisation.”
The scheme will run throughout November, with all of the hotel’s meeting and events rooms being offered at the special rate for NECC members.
Deborah Haines, general manager of the Radisson SAS Hotel, Durham, said: “We are delighted to be able to support local businesses through this initiative. North East England has a deserved reputation for being a resilient region, and this initiative is the perfect way for us to help local companies and cement the hotel as a key part of the business community.”
