New season for North East Entrepreneurs

An organisation that embodies the entrepreneurial spirit of the North East has unveiled an inspirational new season of business events.Established six years ago by leading regional business figures, The Entrepreneurs’ Forum develops and champions a culture of enterprise and entrepreneurship.

This season the Forum will present a calendar of events to bring together people from a variety of sectors. High-profile guest speakers will address members and guests at various events throughout the region, from informative private dinners to major regional conferences.

Forum members looking for business inspiration will be at Judges Restaurant in Yarm, on Tuesday October 14th, to hear from Alan Noble, the man behind the largest commercial vehicle rental business in Europe, Northgate plc.The fifth Forum charity ball takes place on Saturday October 18th at the Hilton NewcastleGateshead. Previous balls have raised a total of more than £200,000, and this year’s Las Vegas themed evening is in aid of Maggie’s North East Cancer Centre.

Other season highlights include an address from Curry king Charan Gill, who sold his Harlequin Restaurant Group in a multi-million pound deal in 2005. Gill will speak at an open event at Jesmond Dene House, Jesmond, Newcastle, on Tuesday October 21st. November 5th is the date for Think Big, Start Local, the Forum’s annual conference for graduates, taking place at the Hilton NewcastleGateshead. The following day, the hotel will be the destination for another major conference: Peaks & Pitfalls. This event is a must for anyone running a SME and James Averdieck, founder of Gü Chocolate Puds will be the keynote speaker.

The Entrepreneurs’ Forum’s chief executive Carole Beverley said: “We have established a trusted track record for delivering outstanding events that really allow for knowledge, skills, ideas and expertise to be shared in a way that can only boost the entrepreneurial reputation of the North East.”
