Projecting the right image
A former apprentice has been appointed to lead the rebranding exercise of the training company which helped him into work.
Access secured Philip Lowery’s first job as a junior designer in 1993. And now, as owner-manager of brand consultancy, Projector, he’s been commissioned to develop a new image for his former mentors.
When Philip was approached to tender for the project he jumped at the chance, saying: “The company was a great help to me when I was beginning my career and I was delighted to be given the chance to help it now with the next stage of its development.”
After being helped into the world of design work Philip completed a BTEC National Certificate in Design and went on to achieve an HNC and ONC, working for several of the region’s top consultancies before going it alone in 2002.
Having been successful in the bidding process Philip has worked closely with the Access management team to design and develop a new brand identity and associated logos and images for the company.
Malcolm Armstrong, managing director of Access, said: “These are very exciting times for us so it’s quite apt that a former apprentice is helping us with the project. Philip is a real success story in his own right and an inspiration to the many apprentices we currently work with.”
