Psychic predicts a bright future for Redcar and Cleveland

Swapping security for a crystal ball may seem unusual to some, but for Trevor Weller he knew it was all part of his future destiny.

Trevor, 33, has relocated to the borough from his hometown of Darlington to set up a paranormal investigation business with the support of his wife, Anne. Trevor received help with starting up his business from the Redcar and Cleveland enterprise team, who helped source new business premises to bring professional paranormal investigation into the workplace.

Now established in office space at South Bank Women’s Centre, the enterprise team also put Trevor in touch with complimentary businesses that could prove useful in making Cleveland Paranormal Investigators a success.

“I offer a number of services including tarot readings, ghost hunts, corporate events, fair visits and investigation of individual properties so I was in need of somewhere quiet to work from and to provide a base for the business,” says Trevor. “Although I do work out of the office a large amount of time, it would have proved difficult to carry on trading without suitable premises.

“I have always had a connection with spirits and wanted to use my gift to improve the quality of life for my family. Now I am more flexible I can spend time with my two children - plus, I have a better income.”

Rose Bailey, a new business coach on the Redcar and Cleveland enterprise team said: “Trevor is a great example of how entrepreneurship can be an option for anyone, even with an unorthodox business idea like Trevor’s.

“Trevor really excited us with his ambitious plans for a business that we have seen journey from strength-to-strength. He came to us with an idea that was unique and we were able to advise on how he could best put it into practice.”
