Firm's Vision is more Aware
While many companies in the current economic climate are taking the ‘wait and see’ approach to business development, a local firm is taking a slightly different route.
Curved Vision, contributors of bdaily’s fortnightly Talk Tuesday articles, are joining up with Aware UK to form Aware Plus, aiming to provide a more integrated service to the region. Aware Plus will continue to work in Curved Vision’s field of presentation and public speaking training, but are also able to call on leaders in the fields of personal development and management to present a comprehensive training package to North East businesses.
Curved Vision’s Simon Raybould will be Director of the new company. He said: “It’s very tempting for companies to cut back on skills training in an economic downturn. But all the research suggests that it is the companies that innovate and ‘upskill’ their workforce that come out on top, while their competition shrinks from view.
“That’s where Aware Plus comes in - as well as training staff to deliver knockout presentations and pitches, we’ll help them to manage their time and teams more productively, negotiate with a win-win mentality or thrive under pressure.”
Aware Plus already have contracts with many of the region’s local authorities and exporters as well as clients from further afield such as Imperial College London and Norwegian firm Skanem.
