Entrepreneurs told to network out of downturn
Entrepreneurs are being invited to join a new network designed to boost levels of enterprise in the UK during the current downturn.
The Enterprising Places Network (EPN) is being launched ahead of Global Entrepreneurship Week to bring together pioneers who have transformed their local areas by encouraging enterprise.
It’s hoped the network will enable them to share their knowledge and expertise. A series of roundtable discussions, informative podcasts and online discussion forums are planned.
Make Your Mark - the campaign to raise levels of confidence and ambition in enterprise culture in communities across the UK - is behind the network.
EPN is now calling on local authorities, local strategic partnerships, regeneration projects, community and social enterprises, and chambers of commerce across the UK which have helped create and support local enterprise, to nominate themselves for membership by emailing their details to epn@makeyourmark.co.uk.
Make Your Mark chief executive Harry Rich said: “We need people who have the knowledge and experience of transforming places through enterprise to share their expertise with others and help us overcome the challenges we’re currently facing.”
The first members includes the North East’s Tynedale Enterprise Network.
