The Founder of a North East-based website, DaisyGreenMagazine.co.uk, has been named one of the top 100 entrepreneurs of the future.
Striding Out, a national network helping entrepreneurs to achieve the triple bottom line of ‘people, planet and profit’, selected Nicola Alexander as part of the Global Entrepreneur Week announcement.
Nicola, who set up the ethical online woman’s magazine with a group of other professional young women said: “This is an amazing honour for me but I also see it as a reflection of the quality of Daisy Green Magazine and the sound ethics behind it. We have only been online for a month but our audience is growing phenomenally fast. Future here we come!”
Nicola will attend a special ceremony for the Future 100 Entrepreneurs in Liverpool on Thursday.
The Founder of Striding Out, Heather Wilkinson, said: “The future of our world is in the hands of individuals who are committed to generating commercial and ethical returns.
“Challenging economic times can offer opportunities to question the way we operate as both a business community and a society. We were looking for the ‘Future 100’ young entrepreneurs who are changing the face of everyday business and improve commerce’s impact on the wider world.”
