Agency's new creative home signals future growth
A North East advertising agency is celebrating moving into a new bigger space, recruiting several new people and winning three award nominations.
Established in Gateshead four years ago, Drummond Central has recently moved to new offices in Newcastle after an increase in turnover and new client wins created an urgent need for expansion and additional staff.
The double-fronted 3,000 square foot offices on Jesmond Road West have now become a four floor creative home for its fourteen people.
The agency has already won a string of industry awards for its creativity and has had three new shortlists this month, including the Campaign Media Awards.
Julie Drummond, managing director said; “Being nominated for the Campaign Media Awards with our work for bet365 is a huge deal for a regional agency. The short listing puts us in the same category as top London agencies, and recognises our innovation. This campaign saw the latest streaming technology create a live odds TV ad at half time in a football match for example, which was a first for the gaming industry in the UK.”
Julie also won the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards for ‘Woman in the Service Sector’, and another recent campaign was highly commended by the CIPR awards for their work for the newly opened Sunderland Aquatic Centre, for Best use of Design or Photography.
“We have experienced continued growth throughout this year, with many exciting new projects in the pipeline, so are pleased to continue to help our clients succeed above the current climate. Their success has fuelled our growth and we are looking forward to helping them further in 2009.”
