Major contract wins for firm with designs on growth
A local company specialising in the design and installation of interiors for the hospitality industry is set to double its turnover for 2008 following some major contract wins.
Restaurant Design Associates (RDA), based at Boldon Business Park, has secured national contracts including Costa Coffee and Leeds General Infirmary, which have seen company increased its staff by 50% over the past 12 months.
The family firm was set up in early 2007 by Roy and Judith Addyman.
Judith said: “We have had a fantastic year and are very proud of how far we have come, which is down to the commitment and hard work of the RDA team. To have successfully delivered projects for big national brands like Costa Coffee and for large scale public sector contracts such as Leeds General Infirmary further demonstrates our capability as a leading force in design and installation services for the hospitality and catering industry.”
While RDA is keen to welcome more national contracts, the firm is actively looking to increase the work it does with regional organisations and create more work for local subcontractors.
“While we plan to grow our portfolio of national clients, it is equally important for us to work with organisations in the region to help raise the standards of interior design across the North East hospitality industry and to create more work locally,” added Judith.
The company is looking towards further growth in 2009 and plans to take on more staff and to relocate to larger premises which will accommodate their expansion.
