PR firm flies high with international contract win
A Newcastle PR and marketing company is flying high after landing a contract to promote a leading villa resort on the Caribbean island of St Lucia.
uniquethinking have been tasked with increasing the Windjammer Landing resort’s profile in the UK’s print, broadcast and online media, as well as optimising the web presence of www.windjammer-landing.com to promote the 65-acre beach resort.
Windjammer Landing is located in North West St Lucia and offers 247 villas and suites. It is a popular destination for celebrities, families and honeymooners, with beach and hillside restaurants, a serenity spa and golf club. This week the resort was also voted ‘Best Resort in St Lucia’ by the World Travel Awards.
uniquethinking won the account after pitching against two London PR agencies for the ongoing contract which starts this month.
Sam Hook, managing director of uniquethinking, whose first assignment will be to fly out to St Lucia next week, said: “Winning this award is a fantastic coup and further strengthens our tourism portfolio. To add an international brand to our client list is great for the business, opening future doors for us in this sector.
“I’m looking forward to experiencing Windjammer first hand, all in the name of research of course. Couldn’t come at a better time with the UK weather!”
uniquethinking will also be working closely with PR companies appointed to promote in the US and Canada.
Anthony Bowen, managing director of Windjammer Landing said: “When I met the uniquethinking team in London I was really impressed with their fresh approach and understanding of what we need and we’re looking forward to working with them to increase direct bookings.”
