Peter Jones to offer free advice to UK businesses
Small businesses are being offered the chance of mentoring sessions with Dragons’ Den and American Inventor panellist Peter Jones.
The programme, being run by BT Business, will see one company have two half-day sessions with Peter Jones. An additional five businesses will win mentoring sessions with senior executives from the BT Business Senior Management Team, including Bill Murphy, managing director, Robin Mackenzie, marketing director and Mick Hegarty, strategy director.
The BT Business mentors will be working throughout the scheme with Professor David Clutterbuck, who has been recognised for 20 years as one of the leading authors and academic experts in mentoring.
“It is a crucial time for business and I am delighted to be able to offer my support and advice to a worthy small business. This year’s Small Business Week was all about highlighting the importance of the small business community and I fully support it,” explains Peter Jones.
Bill Murphy, managing director at BT Business, said: “Small businesses are often too busy to ask for help, but research revealed as part of Small Business Week has revealed that mentoring is something they feel they would benefit from. We are championing this scheme and offering first hand advice and guidance to small businesses.”
Entrants must submit a brief application covering their requirements for business mentoring and what areas of the business they feel would benefit from this help.
One business will win two half days with Peter Jones, whilst a further five winners will receive two half days each with a selected senior executive from BT Business.
