Agency plays out Santa Panto
The traditional client Christmas card has been forgone at a Newcastle communications agency this year. Instead, Gardiner Richardson are performing an online digital pantomime for anyone who visits their website.
The Santa’s Workshop intranet - which is open to the public at www.santalimited.com - receives daily news postings by Father Christmas’ senior management team, including Mrs Claus, the Head Elf and Rudolf.
Anyone who logs on will be able to view reactions to these missives posted by Gardiner Richardson staff, who have taken on the role of Santa’s elves, fairies, snowmen and reindeer. Each member of staff has been festooned in festive costume by the magic of Photoshop to represent their particular character.
Key events will include the staff Christmas party, an interactive vote for the fairy most worthy of top of the tree status and a potential murder.
Dom Aldred, a director of Gardiner Richardson, said: “Traditional Christmas cards are fast becoming a thing of the past and e-cards can feel a bit impersonal, so we challenged our creative team to come up with something totally different, very festive and which captured our personality.
“It’s great fun and never in my wildest dreams did I think I would end up as Father Christmas’ wife. Make sure that you log onto www.santalimited.com to find out what’s happening and see if Santa gets everything ready in time for the big day.”
