North East eCommerce experts help Christmas sales boom
A North East eCommerce and web development company is playing a key role in the UK Christmas online retail sales boom which is breaking all records this year.
Stockton-on-Tees-based Visualsoft has built and provided the technology behind hundreds of web sites involved in the online Christmas sales bonanza.
From jewellery and fashion items such as clothing and shoes to DIY and furniture, Visualsoft has built eCommerce sites for more than 100 retailers across the UK.
Around 29 million people are expected to use the internet to buy Christmas presents this year and Visualsoft expects tens of millions of pounds worth of goods to be searched for, ordered and paid for through their eCommerce engine.
Visualsoft Director Richard Bendelow said: “When people are let down by poor eCommerce sites they never go back.
“To make online retailing a success there are several crucial factors which people have got to get right - design, availability of products, customer service and ease of use are crucial from a shopper’s experience - but also the site has got to take orders and process payment seamlessly and at the same time it must be easy to find.
“In our experience, being able to offer the entire range of web services makes a huge difference to our clients and it is reflected in the results they achieve.”
Oli Willis, director of themenswearsite.com said: “As more and more people turn to the internet to buy Christmas presents it is absolutely vital that a business like ours has a strong online presence. By working closely with Visualsoft on the realisation of a web site and incorporating their excellent eCommerce engine, we are now in a strong position to compete online for a larger slice of the Christmas market and beyond.
“We have seen a 500% sales increase since moving to Visualsoft compared with the same trading period last year.”
