Last chance to double your chances

There are only a few days remaining for North East businesses to take advantage of an opportunity to double their chances of winning an award and starting the New Year off in style.

Thanks to a partnership struck between the North East Digital Awards and the Journal’s nebusiness awards, all entries into the North East Digital Awards before Friday 9 January will automatically be submitted into the Internet and ICT category of the Journal’s nebusiness awards. The relationship is mutually beneficial; all those entering the Internet and ICT category will have the opportunity to promote an entry via the North East Digital Awards, increasing their chances of taking home a business accolade in 2009.

David Simms, Commercial Director at NCJ Media, publishers of the Journal, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with the North East Digital Awards to promote and generate entries into this year’s Award categories. One entry into either The North East Digital Awards or the Journal’s nebusiness Awards will automatically, subject to meeting the necessary criteria, be entered into both awards. One entry, double the opportunity.

“We need to encourage as many companies as possible to enter these awards, large or small. In the current economic climate entering awards like this can give your company and staff a welcome boost.”

Funded by regional development agency One North East, and managed by The North East Regional Portal, the North East Digital Awards are open for entries until 27 February 2009. Entries are submitted exclusively online at www.northeastdigitalawards08.co.uk and winners will be formally announced at an awards ceremony in March 2009.

Pascal Fintoni, Head of eBusiness at the North East Regional Portal said: “We are delighted to announce a partnership between two such prestigious and well-subscribed awards campaigns. We hope to continue to promote and encourage the use of ICT and eBusiness by increasing the exposure to both the Digital Awards and the Journal’s nebusiness awards.”
