Tees Valley gets vehicle for success

A series of events has begun in Tees Valley which are aiming to brings advice and support to tourism businesses across the area.

The events will take place on board one of the North East Enterprise Bond’s Launch Pad vehicles. The events are being organised by visitTeesvalley (vTv), who are hoping to provide a platform for tourism businesses to meet and network with industry experts, all with a strong commercial focus spanning both the public and private sector.

Experts will be on hand from property management firm eviivo Frontdesk; customer service training programme, Welcome to Excellence; regional portal Desti.ne Extranet; VisitBritain; Business Link; Darlington and Stockton Riverside Colleges and tourism scheme, White on Brown Signs.

Gemma Lawson, Business Engagement Officer at visitTeesvalley, said: “We foresee the Tourism Launch Pad series of events as one of very few opportunities for tourism businesses to gain free, one-on-one advice from experts in their field.

“By bringing the expertise direct to the business’ local area, consulting with the experts on hand could not be easier. We believe this approach to helping companies add value to their business means they will not need to take time away from work or reduce productivity.”

Chief Executive of the North East Enterprise Bond, Andrew White, added: “As part of Launch Pad’s work to transform enterprise culture across the region, it is not only our mission to work with leading enterprise partners to encourage individuals to launch new ventures, but also to uncover untapped potential of existing organisations and the people within them. Showing them how to become more entrepreneurial can really help their business.”
