Photographer focuses on the North East

An award-winning commercial photographer, who has worked with names such as Nike, Audi, BMW, and the London Stock Exchange, has returned to his Teesside roots after many years of travelling the world to make his services available to North East businesses for the first time.

Allan McPhail, from Billingham, has spent the last 20 years working all over the world for global companies from his London studio. However, thanks to an influx of new contracts in the last three months, the award-winning photographer has now decided to concentrate on working with North East individuals, businesses and organisations from his studio in Thorpe Thewles near Billingham.

In the North East, Allan has already received commissions from One North East and Hartlepool College of Further Education, and is working with DigitalCity in Middlesbrough as a mentor and as an industrial advisor at Cleveland College of Art and Design.

Allan said: “I have always had so much enthusiasm and passion for the North East, wherever my travels have taken me. I have been fortunate enough to work for some of the biggest brands in the world and travel all over Europe and the USA but I have always wanted to settle back in the North East permanently with my family and concentrate my efforts on securing contracts with regional businesses.

“In this region, there’s a real hunger for high quality photography and related services, such as tuition, as people realise that tough economic conditions mean they really must have first class marketing materials to help them stand out from their competitors.”
